I am a member of the biking community in South Africa and I wish to use this forum to express my views and opinions...Because I can.
Whatever is aired here will be my views and my views only. I take no responsibility for any other person's opinion expressed on here, as I cannot really be held accountable for what people post on here...or not.
I will, however, try and make sure that there are equal opportunities available to all who wish to participate, but I will, where necessary, exercise my democratic right to remove posts or comments that I believe are inappropriate.
This does not mean that I will delete your posts or comments just because they are contrary to my views. It does mean, however, that I will remove whatever I believe is not in the best interest of the rest of the readership.
So, I decided to add another "thing" to the list of things I already keep my time occupied with. Some of these things include:
- Being a Husband and Father of two teenagers.
- Being an active member of a motorcycle club.
- Being actively involved in the PBC (Pretoria Bikers Council), where I serve as Secretary and as Webmaster.
I currently have a blog of my own (Marcs-Ramblings), which I have not updated in some time and which I hope to replace with this one in the long run.
I write a Newsletter for the PBC, but that is more of an informative little story page, than an actual newsletter, seeing as I am currently telling stories in the Newsletter, rather than actually giving people news.
I also have this blog, which I recently started just because I wanted to try something new for a change and see whether I could find something to replace all the other news-type items I circulate regularly.
In the long run, this may be the only medium I use to communicate with the more regular readers, but I cannot see myself giving up the newsletter just yet...Even though I do not write on there as frequently as I should!
Anyway...We'll see where this goes.
For now, though, I think I shall be reposting a lot of the Newsletter articles that are more story-related in order to start populating these pages with some ideas and stories.
Until next time...
Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down. (At least that's the theory!)
