End result was that we ended up with a whole bunch of PBC Members at the track that day.
Many of them had the opportunity to ride on a race track for the first time ever....and what a blast we had!
Clinton Pienaar of SA Superbike Magazine and Track Day was on hand, with a bunch of the school's marshalls, to make sure we got arounbd the track in opne piece...Most of the time, anyway!
I had the opportunity of discussing the day with the marshals, as well as with Clinton himself, at one stage and they all mentioned that they were pleasantly surprised at how well behaved the PBC Members were!
They had, obviously, been misinformed of the manners of the PBC Members, because they were expecting people to drink before going out on the track. And they were worried that there may be disagreements between the marshals and the riders on, and off, the track, etc.
I mean, really! Have you ever heard something so absurd? The PBC Members getting drunk and behaving badly?! NEVER!
(I've just moved a little further away from my keyboard...Just in case the lightning strikes me through the computer!!)
