2011-06-11 Boob Run

Megaforce's Boob Run is actually in aid of Breast Cancer and, even though some people have been known to misinterpret the name of the jol (Must be non-Bikers!), this is just another example of how caring the biking community can be.

Point us in the direction of a charity that involves women and/or children and we'll be there to support it.

BUT.......All you folks with charities out there...Don't be getting any ideas of making money out of us Bikers. We've been taken for rides more than enough, thank you very much! We're very discerning when it comes to supporting a charity.

Anyway...a couple of my mates and I ended up at the Boob Run around 11:30 the morning and we walked into a packed venue with a number of the more well-known characters of the PBC in attendance.

Talking of characters...

What I like the most about the jols I attend, is the interesting characters you meet.

Most of these charcaters you learn to love, while you even learn to like some of them too!

In the Pretoria Bikers Council, this is no exception and through the years of being involved in this crowd, there are a number of these characters that I am proud of calling my brothers.

The jol itself was great and good discussions and chats were occasionally interrupted (and I don't mean in a bad way, either!) by the games and other forms of entertainment.

The tyre throw handed out a couple of surprises, like "Ouma" participating in the event along with some of the other ladies.

She didn't really feature in the tyre throw, but when it came time for the Miss Boob Run competition, I heard that Ouma entered and actually won the wet t-shirt competition.

At the time of this competition, I had "strategically" manouvered myself into the confines of the car park and was taking photographs of some of the old classics that had made their way to the venue.

Looking forward to this year's event and this time I may just find myself in the car park during the wet t-shirt competition again!

Thanks for the great time at the event Elvis. The next one has already been diarised and will be on the PBC's website once the new Webmaster takes over and gets the site sorted out.
