2011 started with a wonderful day at the race track. Zwartkops to be exact.

We were supposed to have a track day on 16 December 2010, but a downpour put a bit of a damper (excuse the pun!) on the day. To be honest, the Marshals didn't know whether the rules allowed for jet skis on the track, so the day was cancelled.

So...on 8 January we decided to try again and we had a fantastic day...

First time I could take the Z-1000 around a track and an ideal opportunity just to get back into the whole track riding experience.

 Everything went well and great fun was had by all until the rain came back around 3:30pm.

Fortunately, by then everyone had had the opportunity to go out on the track and have some fun. Those that hadn't gone out by that time would have had some very fancy excuse as to why they could not make it, but they only had themselves to blame.

I had the privilige of at least passing one or two guys on the track, but must confess that I was passed by some of the guys a LOT.

Fortunately this was not a race, so it was ok to be passed. The main thing was to keep the shiny side facing upwards while trying to get through the corners as fast and as low as you could go.
